If you are using Mumara (available in Everything Bundle) you can use a Black List module that came with it.

IMPORTANT!
Be careful, all your SMTPs can be automatically disabled if your settings are wrong!I can not guide you thru this part.

I can not guide you thru this part. You will have to figure out on your own which black listings hurt your delivery the most and change your settings accordingly.

In Mumara go to "SMTP Accounts > Black Lists" where you will see a list of Black Lists Mumara is monitoring if your cron is working correctly and if you have enough RAM. On budget servers, it could happen that this process will not be able to finish. Usually, 4GB RAM is enough.

My main server has 24GB RAM with SSD and it's more than enough to have it connected to 46 External PMTAs each with about 10-20 SMTPs (701 total) and Mumara can handle everything without a problem.

Here you can select which IP and Domain Black Lists you want to monitor and disable affected SMTPs automatically. Never and I repeat never select them all and set it on for either any or all listings. In most cases, this will make your server useless!

Here is my suggestion

  • Set all IP and Domain Black Lists so Mumara will monitor your sending IPs and domains. Leave "Deactivate SMTP" as it is (Don't Deactivate),
  • Monitor what is going on by checking your Black Lists stats everyday under "SMTP Accounts > View SMTP Accounts",
  • If there are no blacklistings 14 days after you started sending select the most important Black Lists for your deliverability and turn "Deactivate SMTP" to "Listed in all of above",
  • If there are no new blacklistings after 30 days after you started sending you can set "Deactivate SMTP" to "Listed in any of above"
  • Keep on monitoring!

What if I am getting blacklisted?

In that case, just make Mumara monitor your Black Lists and do everything manually! The first thing you should do is clean your lists (contact me if you need help with this).

What if I don't have Mumara?

Em, my first suggestion would be a switch to Mumara (and dump Interpsire), but if you can't don't worry (too much) there is an app for that. Well it's not an app it's a service and I would suggest even Mumara users use it. If not for anything else for Up time monitoring you can also get on a Free account.

You can add 32 IPs and/or domains per Free Account. You can also upgrade and monitor up to 16384 IPs and or domains.
