Make sure, the view table will only populate the records when you’ve got your system configured with the type of sending server you prefer for the outgoing emails.

  • How can I view and manage the existing sending server?

The front page of “Sending Servers” from the main navigations will show you the sending servers you currently have in your system. Let’s see what information is available.

Manage Server Groups

Every sending server belongs to a specific group you’ve assigned while setting it up. The table follows a tree view of displaying the information, where sending servers are listed under their specific group. Here is how you can manage the sending groups.

Edit the Server Group

You can create the edit button, the first from the left to edit the name of a specific server group you want to.

Delete Group and Move Servers

Every sending server has to be a part of some group, therefore, you can’t just delete a group without managing what to do with the servers assigned to this specific group. The middle delete button will delete the group, and pop up an option on your screen to select another group to move the existing servers.

Delete Group and Sending Servers

If you don’t want to keep the group and the sending servers either, select this option to delete both the group and the sending servers in it.

Manage Sending Server

Under every group, the listed sending servers belong to it. Here in the following area, we are discussing the information rows under each column that are displaying concerning the sending servers.

  • ID– Every record has been assigned a unique ID within the system
  • Name– Name that you’ve provided to the sending server while setting it up
  • Type– It has to be one of the currently available types of servers you can connect to, PHP Mail, SMTP, or ESP.
  • Speed– There were two options for you to select the preferred one for a specific server entry between keeping the sending limit to “Unlimited” or limiting it by selecting the “Limited” option and defining Hourly/Daily sending speed.
  • Sent– The counter shows the number of emails a specific server has sent so far.
  • Status– It can be either “Active” or “Inactive” according to the preference you’ve set for the sending server
  • Created– The date and time when the server was being set up and saved

How can I edit a Sending Server?

Click the first action icon to edit the earlier saved preferences/selections. You can’t however change and update the type of the server you’ve selected earlier for a specific server entry, the rest of the fields and selections can be edited and updated.

What is creating a copy of the sending server?

Click to copy preferences/selection of an earlier saved server and create a copy of its configuration. The option is required when you’ve got several MTAs to add that may belong to the same physical server.

How can I move the sending server to another group?

Simply select the “Move” action and choose the desired group to move a sending server from one group to another.

How can I send a test email?

When you click “Send Test Email” under the action menu, you’ll be asked to provide a destination email address to send a test email to. Once done, a test email is sent to the provided address to test configuration and delivery.

How can I delete Sending Servers?

Select to delete a specific server under the “Actions” menu from the last column of the table. Select multiple servers from the table by ticking the checkboxes under the first column, and find “Delete” under the “Actions” column placed above the right-side corner of the table. This will delete records in bulk.
