Or better yet how to send millions of emails and avoid getting blacklisted

A simple question with not so simple solution. Sending millions of emails isn't impossible but requires some thinking and work done first.

Even if you did buy your list you should always make sure it is as clean as possible and try to segment it as much as possible. This is hard to do if your bought contact list came only with email addresses. But you could still get info from your contacts like country and what device are they using. Little things.like this can help you with list segmentation and you can better target your audience.

How to remove IP or domain from a blacklist

Your IP or domain got blacklisted and now you are probably wondering how I get off it?

Removing an IP or domain from a blacklist isn’t that hard. It will, however, take a lot of your time and in some well all cases it's a lot better to prevent blacklistings before they happen. This can be done with selecting the right software for your SMTPs (it's called Mail transfer agent or MTA) and email marketing application. If you are interested in a system setup that is capable of sending unlimited emails and do everything it can to prevent blacklistings from happen look at the bottom of this post. PowerMTA installation guide

PowerMTA is a very powerful MTA software I use on all my bulk email servers. If you want to have full control of what is going on with your sending you should consider switching to PowerMTA.

Of course, there is no need to switch if you are a small sender, but if you have problems with deliverability and your emails often bounces due to reached limits PowerMTA is just what you need. Even tho it’s considered the best MTA software PowerMTA is really easy to configure if you have at least basic understanding of IT. It’s not as easy as setting up an email account in Outlook or Thunderbird, but you will get used to it really quick. If you have a chance to use my PowerMTA config there really isn’t much to do (my PowerMTA config is available as an extra to my DIY guide). Just copy/paste your sources and location of DKIM keys in it and you should be fine.

You need PowerMTA installed on your server before you’ll have that so we must take care of installation first.
